A place to work
, create
, and perform.
Smoke-friendly.
BEZ is a cannabis social lounge planned for Boston: a coffee-shop workroom for laptops, a gaming floor, podcast studios you can book by the hour, and a smoke-friendly live stage for 100–200 people. Flower, vapes, edibles, and infused drinks inside. No alcohol inside — that stays on the other side of the door.
Closes September 25, 2026
Founding members lock the launch price on any tier for 12 months, get their name on the founders wall, and pick studio and show slots first. Free to join; nothing is charged until we open.
Until the founding window closes.
Founding list
Members, creators, performers, and Boston venues sign on. We finish the operating plan and site search.
Boston opts in
The City writes its social consumption rules. We apply locally: zoning, Host Community Agreement, community meeting.
State license
The Commission opens Hospitality applications (Supplemental first, expected by end of 2026). Equity applicants only for 36 months.
Build & open
Ventilation, studios, stage, staff training, inspections — then doors open. Founding members first.
Walk the floor plan
Tap any zone. This is the full concept at about 7,500 square feet — the sizing tool below shows what fits in less.
Tap a room for details. Pinch or use + to zoom in.
How much space does this take?
Slide the total footprint and see what fits. Capacities use standard assembly occupancy math and will be finalized by building code and the Commission's approved plan.
Each card shows the number of people (or rooms) that fit at this footprint, then the square feet the room takes.
Comparable: the Summit Lounge in Worcester runs 1,700 sq ft with a capacity of 60 and 20–30 people at a time. Occupancy math: about 9 sq ft per person for a mixed seated/standing show room, 18 per lounge seat, 32 per workstation. Retail, back of house, restrooms, and the exhaust plant for the two smoking rooms take roughly 11% of any plan.
Three ways in. One is free.
Walk-ins are welcome with a day pass. Memberships buy access, space, and studio time — priced against what Boston charges for coworking desks ($235 a month, median) and podcast studios ($50–200 an hour).

Reserve your founding status
A $35 refundable deposit holds your tier at today's price and puts you first in line for studio slots and show seats. It's credited to your first month when we open, and refunded automatically if we haven't opened by December 31, 2028. No cannabis is included in anything sold here — ever.
- What you're buying. A refundable deposit that reserves a founding membership at BEZ, a planned lounge that is not open and does not hold a cannabis license. Nothing else.
- What it does. Locks your tier at today's price for your first 12 months after opening, and puts you ahead of the public for studio slots and show seats. The full deposit is applied to your first month's dues.
- Refunds. Full refund any time before we open — just email us. If BEZ hasn't opened by December 31, 2028 , your deposit is refunded automatically to the card or account you paid with.
- No cannabis, ever. Membership covers access, space, and services only. By Massachusetts law it never includes cannabis, discounts on cannabis, or free product. This deposit doesn't buy any product.
- Not an investment. A deposit gives you no ownership, profit share, or return. Deposits are held in a separate account until opening.
- 21+ only. Questions before you pay: BluntEmbarkmentz@gmail.com.
Terms updated September 14, 2026.

Why this can exist, and why now
Massachusetts reserved its first social consumption licenses for equity applicants for 36 months. Blunt Embarkmentz is a Social Equity Program participant and a two-time state equity grant recipient, which is what puts BEZ in line for a Hospitality license when Boston opens the door.
Regulations took effect January 2, 2026. The Commission expects to open the first applications by the end of 2026, Boston is still writing its local process, and the first venues realistically open in 2027–28. That's the honest timeline, and it's why the founding list matters: the operators and venues ready during the wait are the ones that open first.
